Last week I was reading IGN’s Rage review, which received an 8.5 from Charles Onyett, when I noticed the comments at the bottom of the review. Many of the comments were harassing IGN for their score stating that it should have received a 9 yet they had not played it. Furthermore, many were also confused on whether they should buy it or not. Seriously? Underneath the 8.5 is the word “Great.” Why would you not want to play a game that is great? Sure, cost is certainly a factor with many more AAA titles still to be released, but the issue is deeper here; most people just look at the score and do not read the review.

We open the show with a review of Drive, starring Ryan Gosling. Then Matt and Andrew talk about the newest video game releases(can anyone figure out why Andrew is on British time?). Thom loaned Andrew “Potty Mouth” by Doug Benson and they talk about that. Also, Thursday is always Game Day! The CBYHS theme for the week is “Based on Literature.” The trailers for Trailer Trash(or Treasure!) are Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol, Shut Up Little Man: An Audio Misadventure, and Berlin 36. Also we guess the ending for Killer Elite. Come back on Tuesday to download the newest episode and check out our blogs on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at nevpodcast.com. Nerd’s Eye View opens this episode with a review of Colombiana. Then Andrew and Matt go over the new video game releases, focusing on Gunstringer and God of War: Origins. Today’s CBYHS theme is “Man” or “Woman” in the title, watch out for how Thom bends that rule. Today’s trailers are The Artist(11/23), Human Centipede 2: Full Sequence(N/A) and Blackthorne(10/7). Stay tuned until the end to hear how everyone thinks Drive will end. Please check out our blog posts on Tumblr through nevpodcast.com and send us your thoughts at nevpodcast@gmail.com
