The location was Nebraska, to which Saul poignantly asked: What is there to do in Nebraska?
While this may be the last that we’ll be seeing of Saul on Breaking Bad and the proposed spin-off show is rumored to be a prequel, I have figured out exactly what he’s going to do.
Look no further than an upcoming Fall release: director Alexander Payne’s Nebraska. Check out the trailer here.
Notice anything in particular? For those not paying attention, here is a still from the trailer:
Why yes, it is none other than Saul Goodman with “a new persona.” There is no way to disprove that it isn’t.
You see, up until this point, we weren’t aware that Breaking Bad was connected to an exterior pop culture universe, save for a few X-Filesand Fargo references in season one. Now that we know it is attached to the world of Alexander Payne, it leaves the question of how far the Breaking Bad universe will go.
In closing, look at all the facts: Saul Goodman is relocated to Nebraska. There is a movie with Bob Odenkirk coming out CALLED Nebraska. Coincidence? I think not.
